A BEAUTIFUL GRIND

At different times in history, black pepper was one of the most valued substances in the world.

Indispensable for cooking, preserving food and its medicinal qualities, it’s a spice that sparked emotions and built empires. No surprise that Plato said “pepper is small in size but great in virtue.” And that’s without tasting a perfectly seasoned cheeseburger.

Nowadays most black pepper is a bit meh. Crumbly inconsistent grains from undisclosed sellers around the world, totally lacking in punch.

We're on a mission to have people expect more from their pepper, restoring pepper to its place as Ruler of All Spices. That’s why we source only the freshest, fattest peppercorns to ensure a solid hit of essential oils and piperine (the stuff that gives pepper its kick).

Grown in the red volcanic soils of Cambodia’s sun drenched Memot region, Pep is rich in flavour and complex in aroma. So whether it’s a bloody mary, a pepper steak, or even some silky scrambled eggs, perk it up with a little Pep.

Aromatically,
Myki, Royce and Josh

FAQS

What makes Pep so premium?

For starters, it’s single origin when most pepper brands don’t even say where they’re grown.

Ours is from Cambodia's Memot region.

It has aromatic complexity, depth of flavour and a high grade density that gives high piperine levels and essential oils (where the taste and kick is).

The grinder has a sleek and smokey reusable grinder with pro-grade ceramic burr — while the refills come vacuum sealed for freshness.

Oh and we’ve included a neat little pop-out funnel on the refill box to save that annoying spillage.

Tell me about Cambodian pepper!

Cambodia is known for growing some of the best peppercorns in the world.

Pep is premium black pepper grown in Cambodia's Memot region, a location and terroir which boasts a tropical climate and rich red volcanic soil.

What do you mean “Un-meh”, and why the goat?

People need to expect more from their pepper. Say no to meh pepper.

Goats are hungry, they’ve got kick, and they go “meh” at sad bland peppercorns.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Please see the symbols on the packs. You can recycle what can be recycled, but we intend for you to reuse your grinders for a good while before you get to that.

Where should I keep my Pep?

We recommend you put it right where your friends can see it. Best that it's somewhere cool and dry, too.

Are you planning on other varieties or products?

We do think pepper deserves a specialist (pepper is our priority you might say) — but if you've got some suggestions or a request, send it our way for sure!
